From digital marketing specialists, strategic planners and focused project managers to creative writers, designers and web developers, we’re well-balanced between senior strategic thinkers and younger, new idea chasers. With our multitude of industry experience, Threshold/Carve is able to offer cross-pollination of ideas, strategies and successful solutions for clients. We know what works and can offer these experiences to our clients.
John is one of Threshold/Carve’s senior executives and Chief Strategy Officer. He has over 20 years of significant experience in helping companies build their brands in the multifamily and single-family housing industries. John’s experience includes digital marketing, interactive and search strategies, branding, marketing research, and media planning. He has helped developers and property management companies lease and sell their properties with campaigns that build brand, drive traffic and convert leads.
Dave is one of Threshold/Carve’s senior executives and is the agency’s Chief Creative Officer. He works from the Canadian office, and helps clients in Canada and the USA build their brands with highly-effective campaigns. His experience includes consumer brands, technology, B2B, financial services, healthcare and real estate, creating many award-winning ad campaigns. With over 25 years in the ad business, the ability to develop strategic creativity is embedded deeply into Dave’s DNA.
Billy provides overall leadership as one of Threshold/Carve’s senior executives, and has helped drive the agency to become one of Austin Texas’ top 50 fastest growing companies. For over 20 years, he has achieved results by moving businesses forward with sound, strategic leadership, delivering influential communications, and putting order in chaos. Billy’s current and past successes have doubled ROI and improved operating margins for clients, while refocusing brands on new business development.

Jen Maufrais Kelly
Jen joined Threshold/Carve in 2014 after returning to her hometown, Austin. Prior to that she worked for a New York City visual solutions company where she collaborated with clients to create displays for retail environments, museums exhibits, corporate interiors and real estate marketing firms for seven years. In that time she mastered her organizational skills while executing various projects in markets across the country. She has held multiple positions at Threshold/Carve, all of which have included working with each department to deliver projects to clients, fine tuning processes between departments and managing vendor relations.
Cameron directs our digital team here at Threshold/Carve. He has worked in the residential industry for around 5 years and has been helping clients optimize their digital marketing endeavors for around 9 years. He specializes in local marketing and creating high converting Adwords campaigns. The other love of his life besides marketing and his wife, is watching and playing sports.

Brittany came to Threshold/Carve from the commercial real estate marketing world. She previously worked as the Marketing Manager at Lincoln Property Company Commercial in Denver, Colorado, where she marketed several office and industrial properties as well as a large mixed-use development. Brittany uses both strong organizational skills and a unique eye for marketing commercial and residential real estate to help manage client communication and strategy.
Kathy Meier joined Threshold/Carve in August of 2015 as our new Account Manager. Kathy has worked in the Student Housing industry for roughly 6 years starting in college as a part time leasing agent, moving to a full time leasing agent post college, and soon made the transition as a corporate Operations Assistant. Kathy has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Texas State University.
Meghan is a member of Threshold/Carve’s account management team. She started her career in Austin, TX working at a marketing agency that specialized in residential marketing. From there, she moved to a digital marketing agency where she spent 3+ years creating successful digital marketing strategies for her clients. Meghan utilizes her passion for digital marketing and client success to assist clients in meeting their marketing goals.
Sam is the General Manager of Threshold/Carve’s Canadian office with over 15 years of marketing and account management experience working both within agency and corporate environments. He has an extensive advertising background and has managed all aspects of campaign strategy including media relations, digital marketing, branding, advertising, and events from development to implementation. Sam is passionate about working with clients to develop a plan that fits their needs.
Cassidy started out with Threshold/Carve as an intern as she completed her degree in International Business at St. Edward’s University in Austin. Upon graduation Cassidy accepted a position working in traffic management and now works with both our Austin and Waterloo office.
Mark brings more than 25 years of experience working in public relations, crisis communication, social media and corporate communications to the Threshold/Carve team. His experience in the multifamily housing industry includes serving clients such as the National Apartment Association Education Institute and Asset Campus Housing. Before moving into the private sector, he worked with state and federal agencies such as the Texas General Land Office and Texas A&M University. He has spent three years teaching media writing at Texas A&M University and currently serves as an adjunct professor in business communications at Texas State University.
Michelle joined Threshold/Carve in November 2017 as our Accounting Manager. She brings over 15 years of significant accounting experience, exclusively in various sectors of real estate and digital marketing. She enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, flying kites, and going to the beach.
Brad joined Threshold/Carve in January of 2017 as our new Reporting Guru. Brad brings with him experience designing clean, beautiful reports and automating reporting processes using technical know-how and a keen eye for detail. When he’s not writing the most readable, elegant Python you’ve ever seen, you can catch Brad in the kitchen cooking and listening to his favorite tunes.
Mac handles the writing at Threshold/Carve; crafting copy for websites, blogs, digital ads, print ads and more. He’s been here since June of 2016, and continues to expand his writing repertoire as the agency grows. Mac believes writing begins after research, and that the best writers spend more time thinking than typing.
Haley works on the Digital Team as a Digital Strategist Lead. A graduate of the University of Texas’ prestigious Advertising program, Haley bleeds burnt orange. Her experience includes digital strategy, search engine marketing and optimization, media planning, market research, and more.
Bray is part of the Digital Team at Threshold/Carve as our Developers & Digital Marketing Strategist. With over 6 years experience in multi-media design and development, Bray handles a wide range of digital web services including analyzing market trends and analytics, implementing Social & PPC campaigns, email marketing, web development and many other client tasks that come through. In his free time, he enjoys all outdoor activities and is an avid animal lover with a pet squirrel and chameleon at home.
Casey graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies. She joined our Digital Team in May 2018 as a Digital Success Manager. With experience managing online marketing accounts, Casey will be creating, implementing and improving online marketing campaigns. With her two dogs, Casey spends her free time at Zilker Park and local tennis courts.
Lindsey joined THC in May 2018 after graduating from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors in Public Relations and Minors in both Business and Public Policy. With experience in SEO, media planning and PR strategies, she provides advanced knowledge to our digital team. Outside of the digital world, Lindsey enjoys memes, Cheez-Its and short walks on the beach.
Matt creates all things web at Threshold/Carve. This includes websites, 3rd party api integrations and continued development of our marketing app. Matt got his start in E-commerce in 2011 and transitioned to full-stack development in 2013. He loves learning new technologies and development languages and stays active in the local development community.
Heather is a graphic designer and web developer at Threshold/Carve’s Canadian office with six years of experience under her belt. A self-taught developer with degrees in both illustration and graphic design, she’s passionate about three things: Good design, combining intuitive functionality and clean code to create amazing user experiences online, and baking cupcakes.
Mike is part of the creative team in the Canadian office. For over sixteen years, Mike has worked as an award winning art director and creative director at some of the top advertising agencies in Canada including Leo Burnett, McCann Canada, TAXI Canada, and Bensimon Byrne. He has created memorable campaigns for some very big brands including MasterCard (Canada and globally), Kraft, Capital One, Koodo, MINI, Trillium Gift of Life, CFL, Ontario Ministry of Health, and Joe Fresh to name a few.
Jonathan manages our creative team in the Austin office. Over the past 7 years, Jonathan has worked to build brands and drive brand value in a variety of industries, including non-profit, franchising, retail, western agriculture, auto and big bank. His enthusiasm for researching the connection between brands and their communities, pairs with his focus on design strategy and customer-centric design. A box of Cheez-It crackers will always increase his productivity.
Holland is an intermediate designer and strategist at the Canadian office. Having graduated from Conestoga College’s highly acclaimed graphic design program, she brings a fresh creative perspective, provides multidisciplinary design services on a daily basis, and very much enjoys conceptualizing over a cup (or three) of coffee.
Chelsea is a Graphic Designer working in the Austin office of Threshold/Carve. She has 4 years of experience in brand development, and a love of type equalled only by a love of true crime stories.
Emily is part of the creative team in the Austin office. She has 2 years experience in creating comprehensive identities and graphic interior spaces. While not at the office she is attempting to visit all 59 U.S. national parks and enjoys drawing with microns.
After teaching for 22 years, Sarah decided she needed a new challenge so she took on the world of promotional products. She has been the Account Manager for Promotional Products at Threshold/Carve for the past 2 years. She went from managing a classroom to managing hundreds of orders for clients. Her passion is helping others and she loves educating clients in the most effective way to increase brand awareness with relevant and fun swag.
Elvia joined Threshold/Carve in January 2017. A few months before completing her 10th year with the school district, she decided it was time for a career change and joined the Promotional Products Team. Her years in Customer Service experience have helped her quickly gain knowledge in the Promotional World. She’s sweet, short and super powerful!
Rosa came to Threshold/Carve with more than 15 years experience in the corporate environment consistently demonstrating skills to successfully execute detail-oriented work. Rosa received The Chairman’s Award from a former employer for her ability to improve workflow, initiate process efficiency improvements, and for initiating creative improvements in communication and team engagement which she brings to our THC work environment. Although she grew up in Odessa, Texas, Rosa has called Austin her home since 1983.
